What does it look like to have fear “played” off of you?  Last Friday night Jon Egan and the Desperation Band prophesied and played fear off of about 800 kids at Fellowship Church.  The anointing of the music was almost too much to stand up under.  The power of the drums keeping with the beat of the bass guitar while the keyboard and electric guitar fill the air with notes, rhythm, and song made you know that mighty angels had come into the room and removed any spirit of fear that remained. 

I can’t explain it I just know that the heavens opened up and the Spirit of the Lord was filling Fellowship Church.  God knew that the youth had come to join “The Army of Jehu.”

Joe Tennyson (youth pastor at Fellowship Church) preached his, “purity’s” funeral.  The crowd laughed as his mourning girlfriend whaled and threw herself on the coffin.  Joe then crawled into the casket, laid his head on the big, beautiful white pillow and closed his eyes.  Purity was dead!

I shared with the audience how at the age of 18 I found myself pregnant, married and living in the town’s only mortuary (go to my bio for more info).  My biggest fear was shutting the casket at the end of the day.  I was scared to death the dead “guy” in the casket might open his eyes and come back to life.  I told the story as I closed the casket lid on Joe “purity”.   I had followed the ways of this world instead of the ways of God.  The night my purity died I believe the angels in heaven wept like the mourning girlfriend and Jesus cried because they knew my destiny was in jeopardy.

Mike Wallis, pastor at Victory Life church in Grand Junction spoke to the young men and encouraged them to rise up a higher standard!  He told the girls they had to help by dressing and acting in an appropriate manner.

“Satan isn’t after your purity, he’s after you destiny.” Explained Jayelle, youth pastor at Fellowship Church.  She continued on with Revelation 2:18-29 and explained how we have tolerated Jezebel, sexual immorality and idolatry and it was time to call a spade a spade.  She brought up a panel of high school students, pastors and myself to determine how far is too far when dating.   You will have to get the DVD of the night to see this or order Wake Up Sleeping Beauty for the answers.

Jayelle began the talk of Jezebel but I ended it with telling the audience about the might warrior, Jehu, and his army.  They would not tolerate her.  They killed her.  Along with her family, friends, prophets, witches, and associates.  Because only then could purity be brought back to the land.

“I was once afraid that the dead “guy” in the casket would open his eyes but now I pray that he would come back to life.”  I told the crowd.  Satan is terrified that tonight you might all open your eyes and stop tolerating sexual immorality and idolatry because he knows if you do you will have authority over the nations (Rev 2) and our land will return to prosperity and peace.  “Who will join me and fight this spirit of Jezebel?  Who will help kill sexual immorality and idolatry?  Who will stand with me?”  I asked the audience.  “When you’re at a movie and the scene changes to adultery, homosexuality, or any kind or fornication will you walk out?  Will you stand with me?”  I asked.  “When you’re standing in the grocery line and you see a magazine that exploits women sexually will you turn it over?  Will you join Jehu’s army?”  The auditorium began to explode with the presence of God as one by one teenagers from all over the western slope of Colorado began to stand and join Jehu’s Army.  “We will worship our God more than sports!  We will worship our God more than grades, looks, fame or fortune!”  I assured them.

Do you want to bring “purity” back to life!” I asked.  The crowd cheered!  “It’s time to bring “purity” back to life!”  I shouted.  As the casket opened “purity” was panting for air and sweating profusely but he was alive!  And the building was roaring with victory!  Glory to God!
